Be careful with an offset (ET) that large on the S2 with an 8x18 application... These will sit rather far inboard so I expect spacers will be needed to avoid clearance issue with suspension components. Anybody else running ET42 on 8x18 that can comment ?

I got my RS6 reps with an ET of 35 for this reason and they fill the arches beautifully - I wanted the extra wheel width to actually widen my track, not reduce it !

Hi all I've had this problem recently.
I purchased a set of RS6 reps supposed to be et35 to fit nicely as Paul said.
I had them sent off by the alloy wheel shop to be painted anthracite but one of the wheels they sent was et47 by mistake when they came back the odd wheel would not fit at all, it was only just catching on the front but would not even spin round on the rear of the avant as it was catching so badly on the suspension. so back it went and I've been missing my new wheels for the last 2 weeks

From what i understand there is a bit more clearance on the rear of the coupe's but your looking at needing 10mm spacers at least all round with et42. 15mm would make them standard offset of et37 for the s2 but as the wheels are an extra inch wider your then looking at having problems with them catching the arches

So I'd say 12mm spacers would be ideal for these wheels they're easily available in this size but go for the ones with a lip on the centre bore so the wheels seat correctly as they would on the standard hubs, rather than the cheaper flat ones they don't put the lip on the hubs for no reason. And you'll probably find you need a set of longer studs than standard to account for the spacers.
I wouldn't let this put anyone off these wheels look great on the S2 IMHO just remember to account for the extra costs to make them fit
