    Nothelle N300 Avant

    115,000 miles £5,950 http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/143051.htm

Coming to terms with the reality of my current unexpected financial situation, so this car, which is well known on this forum, is back up for sale. My apologies to Jas for still using his image from last year!

This is possibly one of the best known S2 Avants in the UK, being the subject of many magazine articles.

Initially a VAG UK press car, it was then bought by Paul Harris, the editor of Volkswagen Audi Car magazine ( and later, Audi Driver magazine).

He had the car sent back to Germany by Scotts of Sloane Square, the Audi main dealer and UK representative for Nothelle engine conversions, for the full N300 conversion to be carried out.

This car develops a measured 320bhp and 360lbFt of torque - figures which compare exceptionally well with a standard RS2 ( in fact I bought the car to replace my LHD RS2, and this car gives nothing away to it in terms of performance ).

The exhaust is new - a stainless steel Longlife cat back system.

The brakes are now an uprated S2 set up, as the Alcon replacements provided too many complications with regard to servicing! I don't drive the car brutally enough to make brake fade an issue.

RS2 springs and anti roll bars are fitted, along with adjustable Koni suspension, and 17" Cup replica wheels fitted with 225 45 tyres.

Exterior colour is Crystal Silver, and the car is fitted with a genuine RS2 grille / front valance.

Interior is silver grey, with Jacquard satin upholstery and wood inserts.

Spec includes air-conditioning, tilt / slide sun roof, through load facility ( ski bag ), luggage cover.

The car has a full service history, and is taxed and MoT'd ( until September ).

I bought the car recently with every intention of keeping it as a gentle renovation in progress, but my plans have just been tripped up by unexpected redundancy.

As a consequence, the car is for sale at the moment at £5950 if somebody wants to purchase it prior to my commencing the renovation ( paintwork ) next month; after that is completed I'm intending to re-advertise the car at £6750.

Just to let you know that I'm going ahead and getting the work done, and the price on Pistonheads is now £6950.
There is little point in my selling unless I get close to that figure - I've got other toys that I can look to dispose of first!
