Nail on head Dude.
Id rather see a genuine bay like that thats dusty and dry than one which has been freshly blinged up when looking over a car - makes finding leaks very easy.
And yes my bay is tidy and has been on all of my cars but for people to say a bay is rufffff when its a genuine unmessed with car makes me laugh...........
It's like anything in life, if it doesn't look cared for, gets you thinking what else on the car hasn't been cared for??????????
If you have a lot of knowledge of these cars, and no what to look for then o.k. a dirty engine bay might not put you off.
Nowt wrong with laughing, makes the world go round

Hey all, tis mine now. Got my mits on it about three weeks ago! Little off the price. She looks and drives like new, i've uploaded some pics in gallery. Pristine inside and out as advertised. The discreet phone was fitted by audi before first purchase - still works (buy buy, sell sell . 2 previous owners before me. The last having it for 11 years??!! Had it's first full service before I took delivery. I've done about 500 miles so far and love it.
MRC for health check and remap on June 13th. he he.
Engine bay in my opinion is as it should be if owned by a 'normal' owner, however you and I all know that this is now not the case and she will be prettied up in due course
Cheers
