Just spotted that its changed you used to have to be a company to bid! but you do have to be registered and thats not as simple as filling out an online form, takes a good while to sort but its worth it if you want a bargin

Can you get registered online?
It used to be in person only, cos you have proof your address.
I think M reg s2 will not be cheap, it will fetch 2.5-3k, maybe bargain but then you have live with it been cat D.

Yep you can down load the form but then as you said send of identifaction or go in person, yeah this S2 may go for more then its worth to break which is what I want it for but you can pick up bagins.
You have never had to own a company or be vat rego'd to bid on salvage at universal(well not in the last 9 years that ive been a member), but if you wanted to bid on something in the breaker section you have to be have a registered breaker(waste carrier licence etc).
All the S cars ive ever seen there have sold for daft money, way above what they were worth. eg. Cat C Nogaro blue RS2 with missing ECU, fu*ked loom, May 2005 bought by a breaker up near Leeds somewhere. There is a thread on here about it somewhere.
