We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links

Sorry to see you losing such a nice looking car; make sure its going into bricks and mortar and not the ring. Please can you talk more about why the head gasket had to be replaced on such a young engine ? All the best...
She was running hot last year in the summertime so i changed the water pump fan switch and thermostate thinking this would fix it. It didnt It turns out the main rad was blocked which was causing the car to run to hot. This in turn blew the gasket. She has been with Audiman (Tom) over in yovel his rep precedes him and he has worked his magic. Since having the work done she has been on a fairwell holiday down to Banstable in Devon for a good blow through with me and the wife to be. and covered 500 miles without missing a beat.

I have to say the car is my legit mistress I can take her out, lavish money on her, give loads of love and attention, got out and give it one and my better half doesn't even bat an eyelid
Just to let you all know that she has been sold for £7000. Hope this info is handy because its hard to put a price on S2's these days and knowing what people are prepared to pay. The guy who brought it Flew over from Ireland and drove it home. I had so much interest i could have done with a PA to take all the calls manic
