Whats going on!!??? there seems to be loads of threads looking for missing people/parts

Its upsetting as the bulk of us are here to help each other but there seem to be a core thats taking advantage!

This will make things harder for genuine people to trade and help each other. I know I will now be less trusting and that makes pay and the transaction harder to complete with collection the only way to progress with confidence

Sad world Jay, it's why i've bene cracking down on for sale threads but most sales are down on trust and there are people out there I would not trade with for love nor money but I cannot name them as it's slander.

Sweeper will be added by myself personally if this isn't resolved as the buy was via the forum.

I'd be against your suggestion as too many people would be quick to post on it and it becomes a stupid witch hunt also who's going to look after it?

This is a forum 1st and foremost it's not a multi million corporation link ebay we dont have the resources to monitor all sales.

Any genuine suggustions for aiding with the trading on here are welcome but this is an ongoing issue and at one point the forum banned all for sale threads due to bad sales.

I personally don't want to see that happen but with all these people posting up bad deal threads it may happen again at this rate which would be a shame.

Why not have something like

NO sales postings unless the poster has over 100 posts.

and then ONLY < £200 sales if they have under 250 posts for any NON collection items (eg/ where you pay them and hope they send the goods)

and / OR, must be referred/referenced by severeal "old time" forum traders/members who will 100% vouch for them before they are allowed to sell high value items 'on trust' , like this scam by sweeper

or along those lines >?

Sweeper would have passed all of the above and has alot of previous dealings that are succussful for high value goods so would have Flexx to think of it.

It makes no odds in the end, we cannt stop a scam and as said in the for sale rules ( which a lot of users haven't read ) trading is done at your own risk ( although forum members self police ).

At the moment it is possible to make it so that any new for sale threads are moderated before being posted. If items are being bought of high value an escrow service can be used by the parties until parts are delivered so that payment isnt made until the goods are received. I'll see what I can do on finding a solution on number of posts before selling certain value items or setting up a different classifieds section.

The way to look at alot of expensive purchase is if a guy was down the pub told you he would sell X for £Y but you had to pay first and then X would be bought to the pub in a few days how would you deal with it.

anyone know if you can contact a bank and request the last withdrawl date(s) and values. You have his bank account details, personally i'd make contact and request to talk to someone about fraud?? Good luck jay, sounds like a nightmare.

Oh dear oh dear , have just got my pc back.

I will be cleaning my PM inbox/outbox today , so anyone who need can contact me there (if there is anyone except Jay)

Jay : Thanks for the kind postal letter I got on thursday , if I didn't i wouldn't even know that you hadn't recieved anything. All the parcels are sitting on my local post for a few weeks already , they told me it couldn't be delivered becouse it had unknown reciepient or noone was able to get them (you gave me a 3 field reciever name The holy farm , the units ad the trent something there) anyway.

I miss only one parcel that contained polised coil cover with coils , dunno if it been lost or delivered , atleast they don't have the record of it been delivered as they are little *******.

Got the new company for the mailing with the tracking number , called EMS.

Anyway it's been repacked and resend. The crankshaft and head cover sent on 07.06.2007 with the tracking for Express Mail (EMS) that could be (should be) trackable via Royal Mail UK(as they are representetives in UK for EMS mail) EE000708837LV , EE000708823LV .

Everything else except coils will be sent on monday as i need to go to the special post warehouse where they store lost packages and i couldn't take everything in one go as it's heavy as hell.

I need your bank details to send money for coilcover and if required some waiting expenses.

I guess i got my first ****** feedback :/

As of reason it's a bit stupid , really , some of my personal stuff including the PC (i have password remembering option on s2forum + i have random password remembering option on my e-mail clieant that attached to this s2forum account) so i don't remember passwords as they are something of like 493843939 was stolen from my bmw. They also stolen my private numberplates to get some money later in return (it's very popular around here now to steal them and to ask for money). Well i got them back now including my personal stuff. So just logged on.

Btw , EMS cost more but atleast they can deliver in about 6 days to UK and have tracking !
