Anyone out there got a set of coilovers for a 1993 S2 coupe that they would like to sell? I have just put on a set of oettiger 18in split rims and have decided that it it is far to high and looks like a bus. Appreciate that i would probably be better buying new but i thought i would ask on here anyway.
Did you get them there wheels you speak of from a guy in the Plymouth area by any chance? Id just stick some -40mm springs on if i were you Stewart it should sit very nicely then
S2 + RS2 yep ive had a few love em... Laser red S2 avant... Brilliant black lhd RS2... Polar silver RS2... RS blau RS2... CheeRS Al
Yeah they came from plymouth, really pleased with them. There are still plenty of honest people out there. Any ideas on where i could pick up a set of -40mm springs i ve only seen -30mm for the coupe?
Thanks, stewart
P.s your light has a new lense and has been fitted. smartens up the front nicely.
How much did you pay for them in the end? The guy gave me the run around a bit when they didnt reach the start price. Im sure someone will step forward with some advice re the springs as i only know about the avant stuff sorry matey

H&R springs prob your best bet, just bought H&R cup kit -50mm springs with bilstine shocks for arround £800 delivered, unless you do a lot of track days prob better of with a spring and shock kit rather than coilovers, just my opinnion

Coilovers are just as relevant on the road as the track.
noticed that Koni have started to produce coilovers which are adustable on the car....just not seen an application list.
They don't list a coilover kit for the S2 but we are bringing over the new coilover kits being produced by the same people who manufacture our ProMounts, which have been designed for our chassis specifically (if that helps?)

Was meaning it was better price wise, as a good spring and shock kit is as good as coilovers on the road, but odviously coilovers would bet better on a track. I was going to buy a coilover kit a few years ago for my supra, but was advised by the retailer if i wasn't going to do much track days i'd be better of saving money and buying koini shocks and (iirc) apex springs, whitch i did.
Ended up paying him £360 in the end, delivered which i thought was alright! one is a little scuffed and the tyre is worn around one edge but he did mention that and it is not to bad.
I dont use the car for anything other than fun as i have a company car so i could put up with the ride i think on coilovers. Any prices for the konis?
I now have for sale a set of rs4 replica wheels with WANLI 225/45/18 (they were on the car when i bought it) for sale if anyone wants them, the tyres are all like new but one of the alloys is buckled (very common i believe). They will fit 112/110 stud patterns as they are multifits.
