Audi S2 ABY...'possibly' for sale

I havent been on here for a while...almost forgot my log in details!

I am very keen on getting another german classic, one with the engine in completely the wrong place (not a VW beetle) - I must be having my mod life crisis early.

Ideally Id like to hang on to the S2 but 2 sets of insurance, parking permits tax etc etc isnt economical.

I think I know what I want for it but would like your impartial thoughts at this stage.

Ive owned for 2.5 years. I am the third owner. I bought it with 55,000 miles.
N registered 1996.
ABY coupe.
Dark green (almost black in some lights) - possibly ragussa green?
Cream leather with wood trim.
97,000 miles
Full Audi service history followed by Autopool in Ilver (last 2 - 3 years).
Oil has been changed between every 5,000 and 10,000 miles.
Cared for extremely well. Im **** when it comes to not revving on cold starts etc.
Very clean inside and out, there are some stone chips and some scratches but no dents.
Totally original. I have had the turbo hoses done, so it boosts up well.
It is due for an annual service which I will have done at Autopool. However it has just had new discs and pads, thermostat, and cam belt/tensioner changed for good measure.
It has a sony cd changer in the boot.
Original avus alloys which are a bit scuffed around the edges.
Tyres are all fine and have been on approx 1 yr.

I think that is about as comprehensive as I can be without the file out in front of me.

Any ideas on price?

4.5-5.5-6k I would say as it's quite low miles maybe the top end of that scale.

I would disagree - much more like a 3k car in my opinion ....... and it just so happens I have that amount in my back pocket waiting for an S2 to come along ...


seriously though, looks like a nice example .....somewhere around 5k seems realistic to me given the sort of prices other cars have been going for recently.

If i were you id be valeting/polishing the hell out of it and get some for sale signs in it and get to inters early and park it in a good prime spot and ask for offers over £5k and see what response you get

£4.5-5k seems about right to me.

Although id also suggest donating to the a worthy cause (The sonic fund, for example )

Completely stock (by the looks), good condition, low mileage..
