Help needed buy a Golf 1.8T Please

I am a member of the Uk MKIV's but cant sign in

Basicly i think its a little expensive but no jack about these cars and engines.

What i do know is they love to throw rods out the block if they are not serviced.

Its a V-plate 97.000

lamber seems to be on its way out, ran a little rich.
body work good bar two marks
recaro's cloth
air con

I have him down to £4800 but the parkers book is less

Any sugestions would be great

Its probably not a lambda probe the temp sensors are always goin on them

If u get one have the waterpump and belt changed asap waterpumps have plastic impellers on and fall off all the time
