91, 3b, s2, pearl white coupe for sale

    Hi guys.

I am thinking about selling my s2. I am looking in the region of 5k will consider offers. Just gauging some interest at the moment before i take the plunge. Hope im not breaking any rules by doing this!?

As stated its a 91 3b, pearl white coupe with 148k on clock. It has mostly been mechanically restored, all new cv joints, all new wheel wearings. Brand new re-con gear box, stripped and inspected rebuilt and re-oiled rear diff. Has a 3in longlife turbo back exhaust. Colour coded body work. RS6 18 alloys wheels. K&N cone filter induction. Brand new main rad. Red silicon boost and water hoses. Just had new rear discs, pads and 50% re-con rear calipers. RS2 front anti-roll bar. Poly suspension arm bushes all round. Drivers black leather recaro trend-line sports seat. Plasma main gauges from group buy bo organised. Boost gauge. Many other things done i just cant remember it all.

Struggling to find some pics at the moment. Will either find some or take some new pics.

Any questions either post here of PM me. cheers

    Matt

Make sure you drive an S4 before setting your sights on one, they're different to the S2 and I didin't particularly like driving one, too refined, strange throttle response and even more effortless than the S2 with 0 turbo lag. Quite boring, even with 330bhp and 400ftlbs in the one I drove. Just felt like any other fast saloon car TBH. Got back in the S2 and took a large sight of relief at being back home!

gotta agree with Andy, did the same, same reaction, just tooo smooth which = tireless driving but little excitement. Personally, i love a laggy delivery, something nice about working with it and the way it arrives

£5k might be possible, not least with there not being many about and sounds like its been well looked after.

            Good luck

Hi. Comments noted about the S4. I have yet to drive one so will try and do that at some point.

The exhaust from memory was about 700, thats with 2 boxes and no cats

Having sold my S2 last year and gone for the lazy v6 modern A4 delivery, I would also give you a huge word of caution - seriously, don't do it unless you've a huge reason to need to sell the S2. You will miss it painfully. The S2 has so much character and is so rewarding to drive, and it looks like you've got an absolute minter there. No modern car comes close to any of that.

If you must, keep the S2 for a fun car and get a lazy daily driver or something. If I could turn back the clock a year, I really would have thought harder about getting an RS2.

Just to back up what others are saying. Make sure you drive a couple of S4s first. I've ridden in a 600bhp RS4, which was undoubtedly fast, but it was a bit too civilised for my liking really. I much prefer the rawness of an S2, in which you can feel when you're moving quickly. It’s a long time since I’ve been in a Ur Quattro, so that’s probably a good thing for my S2's sake. At the moment I can't think of anything I'd want to replace my S2 with.

Ok. I've been told to add that some people like the extra refinement in newer S-car Audis, so definitely go a try an S4, as you might like it.

I really do like the s2. but where i live not in plymouth its been drawing far too much attention, its been attacked quite a few times which i cant live with. The s4 looks like a standard a4 which to be honest is not what im after. I do love cars that stand out, but not for the wrong reasons. I think from the comments im gonna have to drive an s4 to really see what they are like. both doug and minhea have gone s4 route so they cant be that bad? Before the s2 i had a turbo mini so i do love the plain, raw power.

problem is i like my cars to be perect, which means a full respray in pearl white which costs too much, plus it will never compare to a 98/99 car with 70-80k. i wish i didnt have to sell the s2 but i dont see many other openions. What other can you get wih a 2.7 v6 bi turbo with 260+bhp for 7k that looks ok
