Whoever bought Chris_m's s2 this wkend is a lucky sod.. I went to see it on saturday and was waiting till its missfire was fixed to buy and that person now has it


I dunno .. maybe its a sign??? I was considering either getting an upgrade .. with all work done (Chris_m's) or doing mine up. Or leaving s2 ownership.

Well, looks like leaving is a good option .. think my days of thunder on the roads are over.... maybe looking at a tdi .. Ive had my need for speed and done some amazing things in my car.

Just stuck now .... dunno where to go....... my car requires a lot of work to get it to a modified state.


can anyone say how much an engine re-build costs? or how much it is to get it to rs2 spec?

or better still maybe an even higher spec?? (450hp -500hp)??

For a bolt on RS2 spec you're looking at about £2-3k depending on used or new parts. With an engine rebuild with uprated internals you're looking at £5k minimum IME.

Why on earth didnt you buy that car on the spot? MartinJS and Chris M are godfathers of the forum and really put some work into that car

As i said to you Chris: You didn't exactly sound over interested, no offer was made or no deposit was left and you didn't get back to me about the car.

I had other people wanting to view the car, first person to look at it wanted it, you didn't say either way!!

ever heard of first refusal? I was told it wasnt ready .. and not for sale .. plus didnt know other peeps coming to view it and was arranged that it would be ready for next saturday and be at mrc to pick up. I dont know what else to say as I waited 4weeks for this car in pming and phone calls. Really, really disappointed. This plus all the things with the s2 is really getting me down .. I may just get rid of mine.

yep your right .. its just sinking in now.... well at least my s2 is cleaner under the hood and done less milage... When i test drove it it had no power at all . mine is quicker... but this is when it had the problem...

Tbh if yours is just in need of a little work then sort that out, you've got the cash to do it at the moment and whilst sorting any little niggles out you can do some upgrades, you've got the hard part out the way, you've got a car, look at it this way.

You missed out on that car but you've still got yours which could easily be done up to a good spec. Don't dwell on problems with your car or missing out on chris's it will only get you down, just get on and sort your car out, no point in leaving the s2 fold because you went after chris's you know you still want another one at least, just keep yours and up the power.

yep one or other no in between .. if i want fast i want extremely fast... or I get economic car and save cash. The main problem is I do not have a work space to do it... or tools .. but workspace is hardest thing to aquire. normal british garages are too small to work in ...
