Hi, I have an Audi 80 quattro for sale. It is a 1990 G plate, 2.0. I did the clutch not long ago (miles wise, it was about three years ago time wise) and while i did it i did the 2nd gear syncro which involves changing 2nd and 3rd gear and syncros. The diff lock works fine, it has alloys and good tyres. Oh i put a 90 boot on it with the 90 tail lights. Also a front foglight bumper and the correct switch panel in the dash. Recently it has started cutting out at 4000 revs on WOT, not sure what this is, any ideas? My bloody ABY does the same!! Oh yeah, i changed the rear disks and pads about a thousand miles ago, but it has been sitting quite a while. No MOT but if I get £350 for it i wil MOT it...

On audifans with the same problem
Good luck with the saleOld thread now, I just found it while looking for something else!
I finally got the bottom of this problem, a few months later, when it cutout and would not restart. still no codes, but I did find one of the (5?) earth wires was broken off from the lug at the rear of the inlet manifold. Reconnected it and normal service resumed
