They are the same, I bought one the other day direct from Roose
Ive used him in the past on 2 previous cars and cannot fault the speed of delivery and quality.
Much better than Samco, and better colours too!
They do look similar maybe someone else might know? I just saw the auction on ebay and thought i'd add it up for people to see incase anyone needed some.

Have you owned the Samco hoses and done a direct comparison?
I'd be careful what you say regarding this unless you can back this up as the Samco hoses are a great bit of kit which I've used in 2 of my personal cars with no issue.
hehe how can you tell the difference between samco and the hoses corey sells? As far as im concerned, they are the same thing! if it is sfs, samco or other known silicone hose,it will do just fine!
Yes Ive owned both, also had SFS and Racetec hoses too.
Dont get me wrong, Samco are very good, but Roose are better quality and thicker.
Paul Roose also used to work for Samco, and obviously set out to better them when he started his own business
I have not yet seen these in person, but currently have a set of samco's waiting to go on the car once I have the engine done. I am getting a spare hose for the back where the idle valve is so will have a look and see as I want to keep the full samco kit for when I do the engine
I never said there were any problems with quality of Samco, I just said Roose are better! (Obviously that is MY opinion)
They do a better selection of colours, and delivery times are very good.
Order a set of them from Samco that are not blue and see how long they take to come
Im sure not many people have heard of Roose in the Audi scene, I got that impression from Corey's original thread about them. In the Ford scene they are very well known for quite afew years now, and only over the last 2 started to branch out to other makes.
Guys - please knock it on the head. As Jamo said - don't make claims like this... They are not helpful for newer forum visitors who are unaware of the umpteen hours I put in getting Samco kits made for the 3B and ABY/ADU owners... And then a generic water kit from Samco that fits all S2/RS2 variants.
Being 1st to market with these, there were a few niggles along the way but all matters were resolved. I guess Roose and SFS got on the bandwagon for this niche market because I don't have endlessly deep pockets so as to carry a permanent stock of hoses in all colours.
Talking of colours - how relevant is that anyway. The vast majority of folk go for Blue or Black. Sure I've seen some wacky ones ordered thru Samco. I can't imagine that Roose have much demand for some of their 'ghey' colours. To this day s2avant is the only guy that is man enough to have a set of 'barbie pink' (his words) hoses - he claims they match his ruby red wagon
Everyone is entitled to an opinion - but please make sure not to mislead others along the way and that you are just expressing an opinion. Thats all.
