RS2 for sale...........:cry:

Hi all,

Unfortunately I am having to sell my red RS2, i have umm'd and ahh'd about it for long enough and just can not afford to keep it any more, a new baby means that it just has to go, im seriously gutted. All normal RS2 features, im sure i do not need to list them, she is standard and LHD, full leather (not half) four previous owners, etc etc.

I have had the car locked in my garage for over 15 months now, i had every intention of taking her to mtm in garmany and putting her through a few stages but now my money must go else where.

The car is sound as, only things that needs doing are a new alternator, a good tune up, the ns front fog light bracket clip has broken so it needs a new one, there is one small crack on the rear NS corner of bumper but not major. As she has been garaged there is no tax or mot, i haven't even drivin her since her last mot, with 174,000 km on the clock (109k miles) she deffinately has a lot of life letf in her. i will email any pics to anyone who is interested so please just let me know.

tuned and on the road i know this car is easily worth 12k, especially with such low mileage. I am open to any serious offers, as i said she does need a good tune up, very well looked after constant oil changes etc and loads spent but once she needed tunning and remapping i just didn't have the money so i garaged her untill i could take her to mtm, now that's just not going to happen.

I wanted to put the car here before i do anything drastic ( like ebay) so someone who really appreciates the RS2's could buy her.

please post any interest and i will get back and go from there.

anyone is more than welcome to come and see her.

A shame you are selling but you need to be a little more realistic with the price, especially with the description you gave, don't forget the car is red (not that sought after) and there are things like THIS popping up a few times a year!

I think she meant that price as what its worth when its up and running, she has not put a price what she wants for it at the moment, looks like she's waiting to see what interest there is before she prices it.

I really can't understand people not Taxing and MoT'ing a car before selling it - for the sake of a couple of hundred quid it will make the sale go so much quicker and realise a much better price.

With no MoT you are buying blind and that is always gonna be reflected in the price.

Give you an idea I held out and got 8.5 grand for my very honest lhd RS Blue RS2 with similar miles having received stupid offers in the region of 7K. If you can wait then you'll get your money otherwise you will have to deal with vultures who want to steal your pride and joy for peanuts. Sadly some of them are members here! Although I can't blame them really.
