Yes Cayenne calipers are very different and the brakets that Jame is making will not fit them.

Robo, is the layout of the hub and Caliper carrier layout the same on the CQ as on the S2? Because im sure a few people have fitted 6pot Calipers to the S2.

I am not sure if the layout is the same, I hope the hubs from UR RR are the same as S2 cos that's what I have at the moment and will be upgrading from RR to S2 hubs in couple of months.
      cheers

i dont think it really matters dose it?
The RS4, RS6, Phaeton and R8 8 pot calipers are all basically the same and short of going ceramic give the best stooping power available.
The huge disks do have a lot of unsprung mass though so i presume cornering and steering will be effected as your spinning a whole load more weight on each corner.

Therefore the fact that they cost more pretty much goes with out saying.

Well done for piecing this kit together

From experience you won't get these behind 17" wheels. Here is a shot of mine in an S8 18" Avus (thread here):

As you can see there is not a lot of extra room. There are probably some 17" rims that would have sufficient clearance but it would be an expensive test. If it helps, I am happy to let people test fit their 17" rims on my car.

IIRC the B7 RS4 and Phaeton discs have different hat heights. If the bracket is designed for the RS4 version it may not fit the phaeton equivalent.

Finally I'd be interested to know what price you can get from the dealer for the parts. I may be able to better it for you.

yeah the phaeton and rs4 discs are different the rs4s are sat out further and will not work on the s2 that is why the kit will have phaeton discs

That's what I thought. I did look into it when we did my brakes but it was a long time ago. The RS4 has a very low hat height from memory.

Verry much doubt you'd get them behind a set of 17's i've got 18" rs8 replicas on the car atm and there quite a close fit. I've yet to try my new 18"bbs wheels (been too lazy) on the car but i'm not even sure they'll fit over the breaks. Might give it a try tomorrow and post findings.

When you say maybe not fit your BBS? Do you mean the clearance from caliper to spokes or the internal diameter?

                            Cheers James

The internal diameter, before i fitted the brakes to the car i tryed setting the disk and caliper in the back of the bbs wheel, just to make sure it would clear the spokes, then i noticed that the caliper was against the diameter of the wheel If it does fit on it will be blody close. Will go out and try a bbs wheel on the car tomorrow
