I,v just done my garage floor with grey Johnstone's floortread which is TC2 based. I gave it a coat of a standard oil based masonry paint first and after that had gone off I gave it a heavy coat of the floortread. the finish is exellent and seems highly durable, I've just cut up a Mk II Golf on it and I haven't damaged it at all. I painted my pit white whist I was at it and now consider this a must as the light is reflected is really useful.
Any oily patch's should be dealt with prior to painting with brick acid.
