Audi 80 2.3 with blown engine

any ideas what a 1993 2.3 80 coupe is worth with a blown engine, bit of history, nothing special not a pile of **** just a normal car.
i think they have spun the crank so worst ways in needs another engine but may go again
oh and its got mot and tax
ive been offered it for £1000 dropped off to my door (but it is on a trailer at the mo and its only 6 miles from my house)
do you think its a good deal?
how much are these engines?
any ideas?

You could get an engine for £100(where i live anyway) thats presuming it a 10v,2309cc?

I've got a 2.3 20V coupe engine and ecu from FWD car 40K miles if it's of any interest. You don't really want 130BHP do you?

Could stick the new 4 litre v8 diesel out of the A8 in it and have a fast oil burner!

i was just toying with the idea as i bought a bike (drop handle bar cycle not motorbike) for £925 and the fella with the 80 said do i want to do a straight swop but the 80 needs an engine
i dont think ill do it as to be honest i cant be bothered to trace an engine then fit it then sort out the teething problems etc, etc, etc it is a 20v if anybody wants it then buy all means let me know and ill give you the guys number but i think he may possibly started to get the engine sorted not sure though
