Not for the swap over I did Al. Was 'dead' easy.

Do leave battery disconnected the whole time.

Apart from helping ensure the bag don't go off in ya face with potentially permanent result, it also prevents the ECU from storing the airbag fault code.

Yep, I was scared too. I very nearly did get a crash helmet to do the air bag bit and certainly got out of the car and as far away from it as possible when refitting.

All probably probably quite unnecessary but hey....

Two 4 mm allen screws behind the steering wheel to release the air bag. Disconnect the air bag cable. Red plug at the back. Stick Air bag in safe place! Away from any static etc. Wheel comes off with a 24mm socket. Plastic trim needs to come off the column too which is easy enough and there's two plugs needing disconnecting to release the wheel.

Needless to say, Do this at your own risk. I recommend getting a professional to do it.
Seems to make sense, i just noticed on the back of new wheel tho, there are 2 black wires & one brown wire that have been snipped. Havent attempted to get old wheel off yet but i take it these are a straight swap?

Actually, what are they for as well, the horn i take it??
