Well, it's a sad day. The car that got me into this whole strange addiction is now up for sale. I've owned it for 2 years and done quite a few bits and bobs over that time by way of maintenance. The only part of the car that not standard just now is the wheels. there are a couple of things that need tinkered with but they are very minor and i'll detail them to be absolutely clear. The only reason I haven't addressed a couple of them before selling is that I currently have an s2, 5 fwd coupes and am picking up an A6 on saturday. My wife has been driving the 16v for a quite a while and now needs something with 5 doors for my son - hence the A6.
So.. the car.
L reg 2.0 16v DOHC red fwd coupe with 116,000 miles on it. Taxed to end august. MOT to 17th Oct. 17 inch RS4 replica alloys. front ones have a few scrapes since it was my missus' first car really. black striped (maybe ultra dark blue, I can never quite tell) interior. very slight wear on driver's bolster as usual but bases are both firm, no sagging. 3 spoke leather steering wheel in excellent condition. oval crystal side repeaters, clear indicators, black grille, All dials and vdo gauges work. New radiator a few months ago, all new filters and serviced in February. Car was previously owned by a guy with a body shop who resprayed it so it really is a shiny mother trucker. I haven't had the time for a long while to give it a proper detailing but it's still impressive. 2 new front tyres about 500 miles ago.
issues I can think of - warning light flashes for a couple of seconds when engine starts but goes out. It's abs related so maybe the bomb takes a couple of seconds to charge up. never had any probs with the braking but wanted to mention it. paint work is generally excellent with one small crack on the passenger's door where some bassrd in a carpark has knocked it. there's a tiny bit of bubbling at the top of the windscreen on one side (maybe 10p sized). the heater blower is stuck at the position where it blows onto the screen. it's never bothered me so I just left it with the intention to get the dash out one day but never got round to it. gasket between the downpipe and exhaust manifold needs changed because I felt a slight blow of warm air when I was reaching down for something the other day. hardly an issue but i'm trying to list everything. Front NS bearing might need replaced in a while because i heard a slight rubbing when cornering the other day. plastic trim that covers the hinge on the driver's seat is stuck on but a little loose because one of the little lugs is broken. am I being too **** now?
I can't think of anything else to add just now. Hit me with your questions.
£1000 - no offers. I'd almost like the excuse to keep it.

seats look a bit gray here. must be the flash on the camera
