Probably the longet S2 project in history EVER!

Looks the biz alright... still a pheckin ugly short ****d thing but you gotta respect the oomf factor and its rare nature. The single best thing about the shorty is the placement of auxiliary gauges where the driver can actually see the darn things

Well It's a great car in my books, but at £65k I think the owner is asking a bit too muchS2 Avant......fully loaded   Slipper Wagons Rule !!!!!Comment

I seem to remember that they were £57K new in the UK for the base model, but then you had to pay for all the extras (aircon etc). I think a fully specced one would have cost you around £67K new.
Oh and only 8 RHD cars were officially imported into the UK so this is a damn rare car and also the one my wife will be buying me if she ever wins the lottery

I nearly brought a Red sport one of the UK supplied cars, a few years back. It was 25k at the time (1996) it was hell of a stretch financially, so I left it go.
Wish I had now.sigpicComment

hmmm interesting...never realised they actually made a RHD version, presumed on 160 odd LHD ones were made for homologation. Does that mean that there was a RHD homologated version of the shorty too or was it a post production conversion?
I absolutely love the SQ, it looks how a schoolboy would draw up an old rally car....squat, big arches, fat wheels
I'd have had one in tarmac spec anyday, they looked brutal, even if the handling was a bit of a handful
