Well folks, due to an imminent relocation at work I'll no longer need a car to travel there. So I have sadly decided to offer up the S2 for sale and just have keep my ur-quattro for weekends.
She's a '94 Avant in Emerald green, cloth 'quattro' cloth and carbon pack. 154k miles. All the original books and manuals. The usual S2 spec as well as a genuine load-liner in the boot and an AmD remap.
Really good oil pressure and drives beautifully, all the better for being fettled and used everyday whilst I've had her too.
In the last year new parts fitted include a Quick-shift kit, a full cam-belt service, including the water pump and tensioners, genuine Behr main radiator, MAF, ISV, WGFV, DV, Throttle Potentiometer, Fuel Pump and Filter, all vac tubing and the 'Mark H' intercooler mod.
In the past few months I've spent around a grand on her sorting out the main ill's. I've fitted a new set of Bosch Plugs, Air Filter, Pollen Filter, ancillary drive belts, coolant & reservoir, Bosch Lambda sensor, rear pads as well as a new Bosch Silver battery.
As well as several oil+filter changes before filling with Silkolene 10W-50.
I've also fitted a brand new Steering Pump and throughly flushed the hydraulic system through with proper G004000 fluid.
Also, a new pair of front fog-lights, drivers seat bolster and new dash & switch bulbs, including an led in the ambient temp display.
MoT to May 2009.
Tax to the end of March 2009.
Overall in very good condition, the MoT tester commented on what a nice example she was! The bad bits are it would need a bit of paintwork to be immaculate, but nothing major or drastic, just some normal stone chipping on the wheel arch lips, and the bonnet ultimately (The place I was going to use has apparently closed!). The A/C drivebelt had been disconnected before I bought it, so will need at least a new belt (supplied), prob a hose or two and a test/recharge. And there is a small boost leak, which is prob just a hose, I've not investigated it fully yet as I've ordered Samco's and it drives so nicely.
I thought I'd give the good folk on here a chance before advertising it more widely, it would be nice to keep her in the forum.
I'm looking for £2600 ono. (That price would include the sets of black Samco boost and water kits that I currently have on order).
Pm or call me on 07791018698 if you'd like any more info.
