I bought this '94 reg S2 Avant (Green) as a mild project over a year ago now. It's not perfect example but not bad either, the intention was to revamp her to an RS2 standard (I'm more a per original kind of guy as opposed to heavy mods so normally wouldn't play about but the car is capable of so much more so I felt this was the route...)
Some work got done but it was bad timing and bad luck on my part: mid-building my first house which turned up unforseeable problems in the form of a dodgy contractor and a new baby arrived who unfortunately came with some complications. I'm looking forward to Jan 1 2009 bigtime!!
ANYWAYS
the bottom line is that I need to raise some cash quickly now to help with expenses due to the above. Gutted but I'll get to play with cars again hopefully asap.

mostly complete service history, mots etc.
110,000 miles which I'm sure is genuine by look/feel alone
decent cream leather interior/bodywork/underside/alloys
works I got to do already was new flywheel/clutch/timing belts/plugs/filters/battery invoices for all works
engine tight, excellent cond no ticking noises no leaks, turbo great
electrics all perfect
Bad points
its had a wing replaced at some stage in its life (drivers side). This wasn't declared by the chap who sold it to me but based on overall cond decided to take a punt....1st thing we did on arrival home was to put the car on a rig just to check and its straight.
Gearchanges much tighter but arguably slightly notchier than before the flywheel/clutch got done, never proved a problem, maybe even normal (proper parts used came from Pete Reeve)
Leaky power steering pump, surprise surprise. However I need to have another look at that as I think we caused it during reassembly, loose/split hose?
Shocks/bushes need replacing (was my next planned task)
the car is in Dublin (For UK guys but open to ideas like bringing him to Holyhead)
The car is driving well but not in everyday use, I have and need a diesel. But she gets a run once a week just to keep her moving (and when I need a smile) and the odd weekend to my parents @ 350 mile roundtrip
In view of my circumstances I want to make as much as I can for the car but I also need not to be still selling her in November!! SO I'd welcome interest around the £3,000reigon. If no interest here she will go on ebay (hate that but gotta do what gotta do)
