i would prefere to use a 2 door and would be prepaired to travel for one,found 1 in germany last month but guy did not speak english so couldnt get that and its a minefield trying to locate another...if anyone could help me out with one the 80 could be rescued....would be cheaper also to get a 2 door as i was opting for the kevlar doors(about 600 each)

there was quite a few 2 door 80's for sale on mobile.de last time i looked (6-8 weeks back) for £800+

Just to clear this up is it only the 2 door saloons that you can use or is it coupe's as well? (I know they all come as 2 door just wondering about the rake of the screen, even if its the type81)

Just the 80 two door (coupe), not the usuall coupe, we never got them.

Yes usuall coupe screen angle too steep for a sport.

Cheers for letting me know, always wondered that. I've seen 1 or 2 pictures of the 2 door saloons, look nice. Sorry for going off topic, did they ever do them in quattro format?

this is getting confusing..am i right in thinking the 4 door 80 and the 2 door 80 have the same windscreen rake?is the 2 door 80 classed as a coupe or not?as for the coupe or coupe quattro or quattro turbo(ur),this has definatly got a lower screen angle.

all the coupes are the wrong angle,would be easier if you got a 2 door saloon because the doors are different to a 4 door as far as i know.

there were a few 2 door saloon quattros but they are like gold dust,and i don't think they were sold in the uk or rhd

yes the doors are different,the 2 door ones are simular to the coupe but have a more straight edge on the c pillar and the slope on the front..they are also about a foot smaller...
i intended to keep the front doors as i have seen a few lads chop the frame off the top of the 4 doors and modify it to fit the coupes door,allthough i may get the correct kevlar replacements

I don't know how hard is it to find a 2 door 80 in the UK, but here in The Netherlands there are some for sale very often, but not very cheap.
