Here goes,
The car was first registered on the 9th January 1989,was bought as a company car. I'm advertising this for a friend but i will be dealing with it all. He bought it on 4th May 2008, but as soon as the tax ran out he sorn it. It has been in his dads lock up since. The car itself is in good condition for it's age.
Good bits,
The car has had 9 former keeps.
It have 10 old tax discs with it.
It have 6 MOT certificates with it.
It has a full VW service history upto 145,000m car has now done 172,000m. I have service history and old MOT's to back this up.
It had a brand new clutch in june but has not been driven much a about 100mile max.
It had the heater matrix replaced at the same time as it was leaking this was all done by a VW trained technition
Quick shift gear linkage
Kent cam
It has drilled front discs
4 good tyres
The sunroof is in fully working order
It has 6 months MOT left
It had a brand new genuine rear panel as the old one was rusty(one of the former keepers had a bodyshop)so no rust under the tail lights.
This car can move espcially when the cam kicks in and sounds great
It is not a genuine big bumper modle but has used genuine part to turn it into a big bumper car
Bad bits,
There is a little rust round the bottom of the windscreen Mk2 are known for this
There is a little rust on the bottom of the drivers door,other than that there is much rust at all for a 19 year old golf
The boot lock has been disconnected for some reason
The rear bdge is missing cause some little sumbag thought they'd have it?
Drivers seat has a slight rip in it
The bonnet has slightly frog eyed i think when it was painted it reacted with the silicone? But thats just been fussy as its not that bad. This is no concours car by all means but just in good condition.
Just needs a really good clean
All in all the car is good to go apart from tax. It is located in Pudsey,Leeds if you want any info PM me and i will get back to you asap.
