I remember seeing this on ebay a month ago and asking Blitzcat about it (didnt know who he was then) and it doesn't use OEM parts in the shifter unlike the group buy, i'm sure somebody can confirm.
As usual, Ben from quattrospeed (2raudi) doesn't have his facts straight. I will give him credit - when he first started making a competing unit, it didn't use OEM parts. Now it appears that the base plate is OEM, but the ancillary parts are not. It is a direct rip-off of my kit, only with the ends of the plate cut off for "easier installation"
He still doesn't include all the parts needed to install it, especially if you want to install on a 6-speed. Those of you who already have my short shift kit know how important it is to retain the reverse lockout on the 6-speed. It's nearly impossible to drive without it. It's impossible for me to include all the parts to install on a 6-speed because we don't have a supply of them in the US and importing them doubles the price. At least I inlcude everything I can to install on the 6-speed. Ben has replaced the spring with a hard plastic bushing which does not allow the up-down motion of the shifter...but he didn't know that until know. Also, the spring maintains constant tension on the rod in 5-speed applications. A hard bushing will always have slop because the tolerances on the pivot ball are not very good.
My pieces are professionally machined. His looks like he used a Dremel rotary tool. Every part of my kit comes from an OEM manufacturer, and I've been making them for over 2 years now. I've been through what works and what doesn't. You can install my kit through the shift boot just like his. I personally like more room to work then that, so I think taking out the console is easier. Also, there is no issue with the retaining ring falling out. It is possible that it could, but it won't because it is cemented into place. Another thing Ben didn't know because he didn't do his research.
<personal rant>
Ben, you really piss me off. You take every chance you can to put me under. You know I'm doing this to put myself through college? Not running a business, right? I also like how you say one thing and do another. You apologize for selling them and tell Rob (in Germany) you are sorry for selling them so that he'll do business with you, then you keep on selling them.
</rant>
To those of you who want to do business with Ben - go ahead, I can't beat his price unless we are in a group buy status. Just check his reputation on Audiworld. He has a history of selling things he doesn't have and has lately been repeating this behavior through Audifans - selling things to US customers that he purchased on ebay.de and are still located in Germany.
I could go on and on with customer testimonials, start name dropping about the people who have and love the billzcat1 kit, etcetera, but I'm done.

I am more than happy with my Billzcat short shifter, it was easy to fit the six speed reverse lockout courtesy of Martyns excellent guide and it works perfectly, but much more importantly I received it in record time from the US, once ordered .
BillzCat1 (Richard Hoffman) is top dog in my book, ask him ANY Audi/VW related question, and he has an answer. If you guys need to save 15 US dollars in order to undercut a REAL enthusiast who has already proved himself to this forum, then that is a shame
BillzCat1 will also soon be developing, READ: Not copying, DEVELOPING, a big brake kit for S2/Coupe/90 cars, as well as billet SS kits for UrS cars, 4000's/Coupe Ct, quattro, UrQ's . . . this list goes on.
When BillCat1's current "Project" is finished, the work will talk for itself. It is S2-esque, it involves a US '90 Coupe quattro.
