SALE: Brake caliper bracket. 8pot RS4/RS6/R8 to S2/RS2.

Now the final bracket is completed! And the bracket I'm talking about is for fitting the 8pot monster caliper from RS4-b7/RS6/R8 on S2/RS2. It took a while to perfect it but now it's a perfect fit! It centers the caliper perfectly in the wheel and over the disc (3mm clearance on top and bottom inside my 18" Porsche turbo replicas.).

It's manufactured from strong and light weight 7075 aluminum. It's delivered as seen on the pictures and it's probably a good idea to put some paint on it.

I sell a pair for 275 EUR + shipping. They have cost me more then 500EUR and many man hours to "develop". And the 7075 material is pretty pricey. So I think it's a fair price. Not trying to make a sh*tload of money on these babies, just want my development cost back. =)
Paypal or a direct bank transfer would work for me. They are manufactured on request so I need the money in advance so I don't get stranded with a set of brackets I have to pay for and a buyer that backed out.

More pictures can be seen here:

Mostly pictures that shows the clearance inside the wheel and around the disc and so.

It was discussed but we never did it. We came to the conclusion that there's probably no worries. If someone really wants it I can probably fix it. I used timeserts on my rear RS4-brakes and that's probably what I would use on these to.

Nice! Looks like a close fit in your 18" rims

Are you using the 360mm x 34mm RS4 discs for your setup?

          Cheers

Yeah. It's a close fit but should be ok. =) The discs are the RS4-b7 365x34 with the centers from Phaeton W12.

What brakes do you have on the rear?

Working on fitting RS4-b7s there. So it's RS4 on all corners.

I sure will. =) It's not a straight swap though. Some serious roadblocks on the way but I will document it and explain what needs to be done. But it might take some time. I don't work that fast.

I looked into it also, seem you either need spacers at the front or rear, depending on how you go about it.

you'll also need to over-come the handbrake issue.

I might be ignorant... But the handbrake issue doesn't seem like thaaaat big deal. Sure. It's a huge problem but think it's fairly easily fixed. *knock on wood*

The first happy customer is located in England. And one set on it's way to Germany. You can get them totally without text if you want. And I might even consider removing the text on all further adapters. I really never thought of that the text in some countries might be a problem on the MOT. But if they don't tell you to go home when they see the ginormous brakes they probably won't say anything about a small text. ANd most of the text, as it is now, are facing the disk so it's not really visible.

Yep - got these through today

They got quite a few looks and questions from people at work as they sat on my desk. Most people went to pick one up and practically threw it out the window because they're so light!!
