Audi S2 Coupe has to go!

I am reluctantly selling my Audi as i need the money for other things, it has become a luxury that i cannot afford.

Thought i would offer it on here before it goes on e-bay.

I have had the car for two years and bought it from a guy in Edinburgh who had spent a lot of time and money on the engine. The paintwork was very faded though. The car has been resprayed Audi Volcano Red and looks great.

    Spec:

    Audi S2 Coupe (ABY)
    120,000 miles
    Six Speed
    Milltek Exhaust
AP 330mm Brakes (new rotors 500 miles ago)
    Oettinger 18in Split Rims

    RS2 Intake Manifold and Turbo
    RS2 Intercooler
    Green Injectors

    Estimated 300-350bhp

New MOT, taxed for two months
    Receipts for thousands

Rev counter stopped working last week, was hoping to fix it before it sells but not managed so far. Any ideas?

    Was looking for £5750.

Can't seem to load on photos tonight i will happily e-mail anyone interested and will have another try uploading on Wednesday.

That reg rings a bell - was this the legendary 'bacofoil express' - with a previous owner in Yorkshire - initials P & J - then sold to Dougals brother - hence the Edinburgh connection ?

            Full Marks.

            Spot on.

Fraser the guy i bought the car from in Edinburgh was Doug from MRC's brother.

Anyone any idea what bhp the car was running back then.

I have re-sprayed it replaced the wheels, tyres and brake rotors, and given it a few services but the engine it is as i got it and is awsome, pulls like hell and never fails to put a smile on your face. It has only done 4000 miles since i bought it in 2006.

Would be interested to here any more info anyone has on the car.

P.J must have spent a serious amount of cash on the car!!

            Cheers, Stewart.

There is a voltage regulator on the back of the gauge cluster. If that dies then so do your dials. I may have a spare one if you want to try it?

That car has never looked so good... It was pink with bits flaking off it when I knew it - back in the MK days. Its owner than was a legend on the forum - creator of much comedy & banter. I helped the guy debug a few things before he went down the AMD route for an upgrade (which he wasn't particularly happy with). I can't remember if he coughed up for the RS2 conversion on it before it was sold to Dougals bro or not.

My Coupe is not quite in that condition and it's the North American version. But man I'm trying to get my hands on a bunch of s2 goodies to make it look like that. Nice job on it though!

                      Dials

If the voltage regulator has packed in would that stop the speedo working as well?
Only, it still works, as does the autocheck!

                      Thanks, Stewart.

It was advertised a few years ago at 370bhp and 380ftlbs. It was also a little cheaper IIRC , I spoke to Doug about it as it was his bro's car, was very tempting.

Looks like an attractive spec - but why would you respray it in red?

You guyz in the U.K and europe are so lucky. I wish the s2 got over here to Canada. I've been trying to get the rieger evo1 bodykit here in Canada or the states. Smk has it in your part of the world but won't ship it here. Frustrating!

Personally I would consider that as a blessing rather than an inconvenience as it helps prevent one more from being a victim of fugly plastic butchery.

The Rieger kit really is rotten and does nothing to improve the subtle looks of the car by any stretch of the imagination.

Keep it as Audi intended it to be.
