a80avant: since the aftermarket ecu not has an maf you can use it, when you have maf + dumpvalve and running it open, it will "leak" out air that has been measured and then gives the wrong signal to the ecu = the car is running wrong air/fuel ratio
One thing i've learned we are way behind the Scandinavians!
I have also ran a BOV on my s2 and rs2 with out any problems, saying that the oem bosch valves are very weak and start to leak pressure at about -0.1 bar on the gauge, it takes about 0.1 - 0.2 bar to close them as the pressure difference is built up. You can really hear and feel this when you use a oem valve and leave it venting to atmosphere.
These turbosmart valves do not do this, they are adjustable so you can set the relevant spring tension and they will not leak when in vacuum.
people.....jusy buy one! i just did,and its amazin. My car is only runnin 0.5 bar boost at present yet since i fitted it feels so responsive. You will love it
Not much noise under .5bar dump and a nice sharp but not to leary tone above that.
You can even set these valves up not to open at all up to about .5bar pressure dump. So they are very descreat around town (depending on how you drive)
Bo these looks so nice I am temppted to pick one up.. stupid question I've got to ask.. what's the benefit of the supersonic in comparo with the veeport?
