bazooka's for sale thread
ebay listing
Hi there and thanks for looking,
Here we have for sale my 1995 Audi S2 Avant 158,000 miles with a full service history (14 stamps and loads of reciepts old mots etc) it is mot'd till August and has tax till the end of June.
I have had this car for about 3 years it has been my daily driver and has been great fun to own. If you are looking at this ad I'm assuming that you are already some what familiar with the S2 as they are getting quite rare nowadays, but if you require more information about this car please visit www.s2forum.com or www.s2central.net where there is a thriving community with a wealth of knowledge about these cars and all thing Audi.
They have been a great help to me over my time of ownership.
Anyway on to my car.
Firstly let me say that this car is not a show winner it has a few minor faults which I will detail below as accurately as I can. It had an oil and plug change last year by me as I like to change the oil in my cars every 4-6000 miles but it is due a dealer service shortly to maintain the history.
I already have my new car so I want this one to go at the end of the auction.
Please remember you bid to buy not to view I have no wish to entertain Tyre Kickers!! However this is a 10 day auction and people are more than welcome to come and view the car in advance of the auction end (I will endevour to make myself available for viewings by arrangement for as much of the auction time as possible)
As I said this car has been my daily driver it is very well specced with a grey leather interior with carbon fibre trim, cruise control, power steering ,electric windows etc everything you would expect. I have not scrimped on this car infact when you see the history you will see I have spent thousands on this car during my ownership.
Including a new clutch less than 10,000 miles ago at a cost of over £1200, a Sterling one Cat 1 alarm (with instalation certificate for your insurance), new fuel pump, new brake pressure accumulator, new coilpack boots, an Alpine mp3 CD player, new lower door trims (these always go and start to peal away from the door), a new front bumper to replace the original which had a crack in it thanks to a high kerb in a car park, ECU re-map by S2central (homefries) to approx 280bhp (this car really moves when you want it to!!), aero wipers all round, Samco silicone boost hoses (the S2 is prone on the standard rubber hoses to getting boost leaks and subsequently a big loss of power so nothing to worry about there!), 18" RS4 replica alloys (Original 16" wheels are included but will need at least 2 new tyres), new black grill the list goes on.
As I said there are a few little problems it has but hopefully as you will see I have rectified any major concerns.
The car has done 158,000 miles and as such there is some stone chipping to the front of the bonnet and the paint work does have some minor scratches here and there (although I'm sure you'll agree from the photo's it looks great for it's age), The air-con does not work properly this is a common fault on the S2 I have had hoses replaced and the system re-gassed and it works for a while and then looses it's chill (it seems many people either opt to fit the better digital climate control that was fitted to European S2's and RS2's or take the system out completely to save weight.
As you can see from the last picture there is some damage to the drivers doorcard this was like it when I got the car and has had a repair made to it. It never bothered me too much butI do have a complete set of matching blue fabric doorcards undamaged which I will include also. The door cards are rare to find and after an exhaustive search for a matching replacement I settled on buying 4 that matched and still complemented the interior. There are basically 2 options either fit all 4 door cards or take the replacement drivers one and have the leather trim from the original transfered. As I said it never bothered me that much so I never got round to fitting them but the parts are there for you.
The Electric windows work intermittantly, the drivers door and the sunroof work fine but the other windows decide when "They" want to work. My auto electrician friend suggested that the master switch in the drivers door was at fault so again I have a working replacement (just never fitted as I never took the doorcard off and I very rarely carry passengers so no one used the other windows)
And that's about it really the interior has a few marks and some wear on the carpets, some minor scuffing to the drivers seat bolster but nothing you wouldn't expect from this sort of age and mileage (infact if I get chance I will give the seats a good going over with some saddle soap and leather feed as they come up really well with this) These cars are very strong and correctly maintained will do another 158,000miles I'm sure without giving up.
It's not perfect but then I'm starting this auction at a very low price for this type of car for a quick and easy sale I have been as honest as I can any questions or to arrange a viewing please e-mail me.
The Private plate A20 VAA is included in the Auction ( "A 20Valve Audi Avant" ) I also have some other spares in a box I will include things like a brand new set of blue motorsport top mounts for the front suspension ( i bought them as the can go but have not needed to fit them as yet) a replacement set of drop links, some braided brake hoses, the original chrome grill, a set of German style show plates things like that.Comment
