Firstly, my appolgies for making my first post, a for sale one, but I'm really not an authority on these motors. I am a car dealer, although I do still have a passion for cars, my continued thirst is really for old Fords. Having said that, I do drive an Audi A6 as my daily 
Anyhoo, I recently took this in p/ex against an A8. It's had 4 previous owners, and the feller who chopped it in with me, had had it for 8/9 years, and there is a mass of s/history & receipts for work done. It's done 143k miles, and is in, what I consider to be, pretty good shape overall. The bodywork is very good, the main areas that need attention are minor, but I will try and list them as best I can. The speedo is intermittent (electronics) the e/windows are also temperamental, the n/s h/lamp washer jet is missing, a/c is innop. The engine seems good, and strong, and the car drives ok. The suspension has been lowered, and is pretty firm. I have the original wheels, although they do need a refurb. Brakes work fine. It's MOT'd until Jan 10th 2010 & tax'd until the end of June '09.
I have tried to describe this as best I can, but as it came in p/ex, I can only tell you what I have gathered. I do not drive it everyday, it's parked up on my site.
I stood the car in at £2000, and would like to try and achieve that figure for it.
Feel free to ask me any questions, but please bear in mind what I've already said, about taking it in chop.
I may be a dealer, but there won't be any warranty on this car, for obvious reasons. Maybe £2000 is the right money, maybe not, I'm sure someone here will let me know either way. I just though that this forum, would find the best audience of people wanting this sort of thing. I know they're pretty sort after, but that's about the limit of my knowledge here
