VAG 1598/5 Diagnostic Lead for 55 pin Motronic ecu. Basically fits between the ecu plug and loom to allow probing of pins for measurement. Designed to work with the VAG1598 breakout box but the pins are assigned on the connector and able to be probed there. The tierap is to keep the connector together as there are two screw pins missing which secure the connector and act as a guide into the VAG 1598. The lead is not damaged and functions perfectly.

If you can source a VAG1598/11 & /12 I would be VERY interested... They are stupid prices from official sources - so much so I've started to think about building my own b-box for that. The 1598 is just a brilliant piece of kit though. Twas the best thing I ever found on eBay - when nobody else had a clue what it was - ahh the good old days
