VEMS LCD Vent holder

I have spoken to Gerd about a deal for these vent holders in case there is interest.

for a quantity of at least 4 the price is 80euro for the set+29euro for EU shipping.

here are the photos of the whole thing in the car.

Mounting requires a small modification of the 2 vertical plastic vent separators which can be done brutally(as i did) esp if you have a main vent second hand!!, or can be done with nice tools to keep them nice even if you want to revert back to original.

the holder klicks in the original locations easily, and the face can be either mounted with double tape(as i did) or can use thick glue to permanently secure it.

Can you also switch it off? or dim the light of the LCD?

in VEMS there is a brightness % that you can manipulate,but im not sure it makes a big difference.As it is now, it is very good on all occasions,and easy to read.It just needs some time to get used to looking at it.

apparently different fw versions of VEMS may also allow different displays as well.Marc also told me that it works with vemstune

im not sure really,but a question to VEMS might clear that up.
as far as the design, well,if it was smaller in size my initial thought was to fit it among the dash buttons.but it doesnt fit,at least not with the unit VEMS sells. To be honest, i got fed up with all the gauges.it looks more compact this way and centre vents are still used
