I Have Here A Gt3 Big Red Front Calipers With expensive Custom Made Carriers[as you can see in number 7 pic, next to RS2 carriers.].i Was Going To Put These On My S2 But Due To Priorty Change, they're Up For Sale.
In Very Good Condition
Comes With New Pack Of Bolts.part number 996 351 429 996 351 430
£550
Is there any differance between these and the 996\boxter s callipers
IFAIK The caliper is much bigger overall than the 996 (996.351.425) it also accept's thicker disks... it also has bigger pistons, still 4 pistons per caliper...
I have posted a drawing in a thread which shows the size differance... and I think it was the GT3 Big Reds I measured... It has the part numbers listed on the drawing...
just a note to bare in mind, the gt3/c4s caliper can not be used with the 323 a8 disc! The a8 disc is 30mm width and the gt3/c4s caliper is designed to be used with a 34mm width disc, so you run the risk of popping the pistons out of the caliper as the pads wear, you are going to need a 34mm width disc or a custom rotor and bell arrangement
You can run thees whit the A8 323mm disk! Actually thees Custom Made Carriers are made to yous whit the A8 disk. It works perfectly i can tel you. Oky you must replace the pads en disks before the totally worn out

Are you sure about that? I assume you must work for brembo, im no braking expert granted, but surely if brembo have designed these calipers to be used with a 34mm disc, they have built in some design limits and to immediatly take 4mm off those limits and thats with brand new discs and pads that will wear out even further, surely this is a risk thats not worth taking especially with something so critical as brakes! But thats just my 2p worth...
