How come your plates are so expensive?? Theres no words in them that actually meen anything?? VBL44? WAX105? And X80 OST? does any of it make any sence? Here in sweden our private plates actually have proper words. Just a question from me as i have sen this in many magazines and so on.

The 3 letter and 3 numbers only plates a valuable (sometimes!) as they don't have an age related prefix so can be used on any car and hopefully carry the initials of the owner or something. Although, WAX may be useful to any beauty parlour owners out there.

As for X80 OST, the translates to X BOOST!

UK number plates have to conform to the structure dictated by the government at the time, you can't have a plate in any format you like.

For example the old format of plates was:

            A letter, upto 3 numbers, a space & then 3 letters.

So most of the time you have to make up a word using at least 1 number. Like 1 for an I, 5 for an S etc.

And even then if a number plate is deemed to be obsene or offensive then they won't release it!

            I always wanted the plate:

            W45 TED

            but they never released it...

One of the best I have heard about is

            FU 2

Some of the most expensive are single letter single number ones like

            A1

which was the first number plate ever issued!

VBL44 Would be pefect for a sport quattro replica as alot of the sport quattro's were registered with Isle of Man plates to get the 44 bit. Ie 44 WMN
