    S6 17" X 8" ET 35 Avus's with Contis. X 5

    This is a kinda for sale thread as I don't really want to sell these rims, I know I'll regret it one day if I do. Dest was after some rims with good tyres so I tentatively offered him these as I'm strongly considering going back to 16"'s once I get my brakes reworked.

    These are genuine Audi S6 wheels not crappy copy's! all five are straight as a dia, I got my tyre place to put each one on the machine naked so I could check them and their all spot on!!!! Four are in excellent condition, there are a few very minor marks so I'd be happy to email high res photos to anyone genuinely interested.

    The best four have 225/45 Continental sport contact II's all with a min of 6mm tread, the spare is a little tatty and has a Conti with 4/5mm tread.

    Again I HATE coming up with prices so this is just a guide to comply with forum rules.

    £600. Please PM me with offers I don't want this thread to evolve into an auction.

    I may be able to deliver in person and worldwide postage is not a problem.

    just out of interest, why are you going back to 16's?
    Is the handling better?

      One of the main reasons is handling, on anything other than perfect roads larger wheels are more trouble than their worth. I'm going to be running a very stiff set up suspension wise, poly/alloy everything so I'd like a little extra give in the tyres for comfort reasons. I'm going to be retaining my 17" track wheels though. I also think original 3B wheels suit the Coupé's retro lines perfectly.

      I ran my highly modified MK II Golf, poly everything Billstiens/Eibach ect, with 15" rims for years. Then due to swapping wheels I put it back on the original 14"'s as a temporary measure, it was a revelation and I left it like it.

        I've often thought about 16x8 rims with 225/50R16s

        Good luck with the sale, Dest might be interested

          Cheers Andy.

          Dest has first shout on them, it was his wanted post that made me think about selling them in the first place. I'm not going to let them go for peanuts and don't mind if I end up keeping them. That said I've just treated myself to a Zetronix ZTII with all the trimmings so the cash would be useful.

          I've now got two sets of 3B rims, one tidy original set and four manky ones, I'm thinking about getting the tatty ones refinished in black. I don't see why a 225 50 wouldn't go on a 7" standard 3B wheel, just an expensive experiment should it not work out.

          Anyway if anyone wants these rim then get in touch sooner rather than latter as I'm prone to changing my mind.

            Just out of interest;

            Is the 3B - 4 or 5 stud?

            Whats the PCD?

              I had 225/50R16 on mine for 2 years, that was 7" Avis. I'd like lightweight 16s like Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 or some really Euro look deep dish, RH would oblige I'm sure : )

                3B = 5 X 112.

                The standard wheels are 7" diamond cut five spokes, as opposed to the later ABY 7.5" Avus.

                  What about banded steels?

                  Didn't know wheels were different widths.

                    Had some interest, but no offers so these are still for sale. I won't be offended by a bit of haggling, I can only say yes or no.

                      £500, or I keep them. The tyres would cost more than that.

                          That's no problem, like I've said I don't keeping them, especially as my Compo's have just sold.

                          Thanks for letting me know.
