FS: Textar Pads for Bid reds

Hi all,

Am having a bit of a clear out at home and realised ive got a set of Textar pads indoors for the "Big Reds" that go on the S2.

I cant remember what i paid for them, there might even be a price on them i'd need to look again, so no idea what they're worth, might have to do a search in a min.

Just done a quick search and looks like they're about £50 for the pads inc UK postage.
That sound reasonable?

Are these pads ones that fit the original "big reds" - 429 & 430 or the other ones that lots of people sometimes call "big reds" - 425 & 426?

Proper big reds are the RS2 calipers...

Others call (Inc Me) the 996-351-429/430 GT3-C4TT calipers big reds... Cos they are bigger than the 996-351-425/426 calipers but look the same..

I thought that the 429 & 430 were known as "big reds" as they were the original upgrade option for the RS2, not sure though...

If it helps, i think i had calipers from a 996 i believe so the pads would suit those calipers, i wasnt using the RS2 calipers which i *think* were smaller?
Either way, the PN's will be posted later and answer all

Part numbers 996-351-429 & 430 relate to the 996 C4 Turbo & GT3 and are completely different to the RS2 Big Red calipers...

The Big Reds were an upgrade to the early RS2 calipers... I think its better explained somewhere else on this Forum...

They do "Sound Like" the Proper Big Red RS2 Pads...

As the 928 has the same spring mech for holding in the pads...

I know i had the proper big reds, not RS2 reds on my car so i would assume the pads are for those calipers, either way if needed i can measure or whatever to check if someone wants them
