i was planning to keep them for one of my other cars.

Well I know for a fact that your current S2 daily driver has rear opening windows , would have thought you might want to take the airbox from the ABY and put it into your current daily driver, pretty sure that I've seen threads on here on how to do it

my other "sunny day" aby is top condition but hasn't got opening rear windows so i was planning to do a swap one day. due to timing this is getting forced on me a bit.

aby s2 update

right, a quick update.
sorry to those i haven't had time to reply to. more important organising to make sure the car didn't get lifted. in anticipation i was also removing interior bits to get a headstart.


went across this morning and fitted a fuel pump (cheers spink for superfast service- top man!!!) to replace the one i took for my other s2. refitted the fully charged battery and she fired up first time no problems!!!!
got her over to my mates garage and the car definately needs a rear subframe (i have a spare one in my back garden) as the tie-rod bracket has come away. apart from that mechanically there doesn't seem too much to worry about, there shouldn't be too much anyway as she's only just out of mot. bit of surface rust on the discs but almost clean already.
i have got an option to store her at a mates paintshop for 1/2 weeks max but it'll mean moving her again and tax runs out midnight tonight and i've just sorned her.
my mate says he'll break the car for me but it would have to start tomorrow as its a busy mot station and can't afford to be clogged up. i'm gonna sleep on it and tell him tomorrow.
to be honest as a car she's probably better off saving a few others as it'll take a fair bit of work to get her tip-top cosmetically. most of the value is in the engine, auxiliaries and running gear alongside the usual s2 trinkets.

again, sorry if i haven't got back to everyone as i had to stop the car getting crushed first.

i'll check condition tomorrow. the passenger door rubber is definately curled at the end. the others i can't remember in detail.

hi,
the interior was cream leather and its gone now. i do have a black leather interior for a coupe.
also, a black leather rs2 recaro interior, obviously estate style.
i'm just trying to sort out the coupe first though before i even think about other stuff.
i'll bear you in mind when i'm sorted but i see your a long way down so i don't know how we'd sort out collection/delivery.

if the engine ends up in bits its yours but its a good strong motor so i'd prefer to keep it together. hope you understand.
i will keep my eyes wide open for you though.
again, if for whatever reason it gets split your very first in line.
