been at the car again today.
wings now off. slam panel, aux rad, intercooler and crossmember all off. few other bits in bobs, washer bottle, trims etc all off.
heater matrix is almost out but it won't give up without a fight.
gonna drop the exhaust tomorrow and start loosening the underside stuff.

S2Tornado, would you be interested in selling that spare rear subframe that you have in your garden? My otherwise mint S2 is facing a sticky end if I can't get hold of one. Audi Factory were going to re-tool and make a new one but says that they can't justify the cost for just 1.

I didn't get a price for just the subframe but the garage that were doing the work quoted me £1000 fitted. I shall ask what the unit price was. If enough people interested, audi would produce some new ones. They did ask around their dealerships in UK & Europe to gauge demand but, of course, there was no takers. I was told that if we were talking about 5 or more they would make them.

aby breaking

haven't done anything on the car myself for a good few weeks due to work. been up today and all the back ends off. the bits have been "stuffed" in the boot for now.
sunroof is out, headlining is out, the engine is all pretty much disconnected and lowered but not away from the car as its a bit tight for space to push the shell back.
most of the aircon stuff is separated although someone has dibs on it.
it won't be long before the battery box and rear quarters are cut out. is there any shell parts needed by anyone before its away?
apologies if there's any pm's i haven't answered, but i've had other priorities last few weeks.

this shell will be done and away in the next couple of days. just about everything is off now.
engine and 6 speed box are out and on a pallet.
i'll get some pics and prices up next week.
i'll be keeping some bits for myself as spares but there's plenty still available.
if anyone's desperate for mot failure type stuff pm me.
