Having been an avid quattro fan since boyhood I was lucky to have worked with 2 of the original mechanics/sparkys on the Audi UK rally team from the Group B era.
Both of these people were not really fussed by the whole 'quattro' thing but were aware of my love for them.
When one of them left the company where we worked he presented me with 2photograph albums.
These albums bound in black with gold detail were given to all the people involved in the cars by Audi uk, the pictures inside were taken by the Photographic controller David Bryant.
From what I was told, most of the pictures were never seen by the masses so these are a glimpse of what Audi wanted to see and what David thought were good shots.
I have attached a few of them as a taster.
Many moons and 2 kids later I found myself with a very decent ur quattro myself and I loved every minute of it, however, financial pressures forced me to sell but I stayed with Audi.
I have had these albums wrapped in bubble wrap for nearly 20 years, they only come out when I get nostalgic or someone has genuine interest in them.
Anyway, time has come to pass them onto someone who will appreciate them more.
These will only be advertised for sale on a very few sites to make sure they stay in enthusiast hands so they can be enjoyed.
Shortly after receiving these albums and understanding their rarity I had them valued as a set. Although it was difficult to get a definitive figure I just ended up taking the 3 guide valuations and averaged them to get to a figure of just under £250.
That was a long time ago so who knows where we are today in terms of value.
I would like to see offers around the £200 mark so if interested or if you have any questions then please ask.
Yes, they probably are worth more, and yes I know I should keep them but I have made up my mind.
I can be contacted via PM or mobile if requested.
