For sale, some bits and pieces for you 2.8CQ drivers!
All of the below components were fitted to my 95 2.8CQ (see pic below). They transformed the look and feel of the car and served me well until I got the inevitable urge to upgrade further!
Alder Racing Wheels (Wheel bolts included)
• Size - 17 x 7J
• Multi-fit stud pattern - 4x108 (Will except M14 bolts) + 4x100 (Will except M12 bolts only)
• Centre Bore - 57.1mm spigot rings fitted (i.e. Audi/VW fit)
• Offset (ET) - 38mm
• Condition - Wheels run true but are not A1 in terms of finish
• Centre Caps - OEM Audi A4 centres (spring clips modified to fit)
• Wheel Bolts - 16-off 19mm head internal hex ‘tuner’ bolts included
Cobra Springs and Shocks (Suspension struts included)
• Springs - 40mm/40mm lowering (Cobra part number 1204)
• Sport Shocks - Shortened type to match 40mm lowering springs (Cobra part number SS1204)
• Condition - Good – Only fitted to car for 13 months (Replaced with KW coilovers)
In total these components cost me around £680 (springs £150 new, shocks £330 new and wheels £200 second hand from ebay). Having just checked Europerformance.com it appears the shocks are now £411 new….
Anyway, assuming the buyer is prepared to come and collect I’d be happy to accept £300 for everything. This price includes the suspension struts and top spring caps so you could build the new suspension offline and simply spend a few hours swapping your existing set up for these.
I’ll give it a few days to see if everything sells together, if not I will update the post to include prices for the wheels and suspension independently.
