Hi guys, this is just a tester at the moment, as I'm in 2 minds what to do.
I'm possibly looking to sell my 1996 S2 coupe Nothelle N300 conversion. One of only a handfull in the UK.
Its done only 68000 miles, with tonnes of paperwork to back up the low mileage.
Taxed till Jan 2011, and MOT till July 2010. Featured in S2forum 2010 calender, for May.
Full Audi and specialist service history, last stamp 67000, for Oil and filter, 2 new rear wheel bearings as one was rumbling, and front top mounts. Cambelt and cam sensor done in 2008, turbo rebuilt and upgraded to 360degre thrust bearing by AET IN 2003. Has Alcon 4 piston calipers and 330mm discs up front, with new discs a couple of months ago from compbrake. 17x8 OZ superleggeras fitted with toyo T1-R tyres, 235/40.
Ming blue/purple pearlescent paint LZ5U.
RS2 black bonnet grill and badge.
The interior is in excellent condition, full black leather seats, very clean no wear. 3 spoke airbag wheel. Dark headliner with pre select glass sunroof. Carbon trim inserts, and black carpet. Alpine cd headunit.
Lots and lots of paper work, reciepts and history, show tickets. Car was in mint condition when I bought it from EricD late last year, Ive driven 5000 amazing miles in her since then, and I'd be very sad to see her go, but I just dont get to drive it enough, as I now live much closer to work and it is my daily driver. I dont want to ruin it driving just 5 minutes to and from work everyday, I need something a little more practical and less precious, as I dont get enough time to clean and wax etc every weekend, which it deserves really.
There is some bad news im afraid, the wheels are looking a little sorry for themselves at the minute, with some pretty bad kerbing as the roads round here were shocking over the winter. The front right has a slight flatspot from a pothole, and the rest are kerbed as I said. 1 new rim and the others refurbed and they would be great again.
The left hand door and left rear arch are also dented, due to a very low speed accident in which I slid into a pair of wooden gate posts exiting a car park when we had the heavy snowfall earlier this year. I have a pair of replacement door rub strips which need spraying, and have been quoted around £500 to get the dents pulled and resprayed. The rest of the bodywork is in very good condition, there are a few stone chips about, but this is still a 14 year old car.
Also, since the garage replaced the rear wheel bearings last month, the car had developed an ABS fault, as the ABS pump kicks in just as you come to a standstill, or travel at walking speed. This is almost certainly one of the abs sensors as they were disturbed to press out the bearings.
I've got a few spares knocking about too, including spare hoses for TB, and other inlet piping, N75, 710n dump valve, coil pack boots.
I already have another coupe which is engineless as I am currently building another engine for it, and tidying it up, so I wont be audiless.
Soo...
I paid £9200 when I bought it from eric last year, I know im not going to get near that with the damage, but Id like as close
to £7500 as I can get, as I understand there to be only 2 or 3 Nothelle coupes in existance. With less than £1000 for the bodywork, and the new rim and wheels refurbed, the car would be perfect again.
Any interest, thoughts?
I could wait and get the bodywork done and sell afterwards, but I have my eye on another car at the minute, and I want to test the water.
I will post up some pics tomorrow.
Feel free to PM me with any specific queries.
Cheers,
Kieron.
