    brembo S8 calipers

Not sure if anyone on here will want these but here goes

pair of Brembo 4 piston calipers from a 2003 S8.

They use a 345mm disc on the S8. Need to confirm but the bolt spacing looks like standard 130mm

Looking for £400 although may consider offers.

Send me a PM if interested.
    Mike

Confirmed the spacing is 130mm so will bolt straight on to a RS2 / Seat bracket

These are 4 pot calipers - same as fitted to the VW Phaeton. Pictures to follow

i *think* the hat height on the 345x30 is spot on too and is obviously a 5/112pcd. The caliper is a two piece from memory rather than the monoblock style on the 996 versions...depending which side of the fence you sit, this could have advantages or disadavantages but if it can haul up an s8 reliably then should be a good option on the S2

So is a 345 s8 disc a single disc? Or a floating one with a separate bell? Out of interest?

Yes, they bolt to the bracket. Many calipers can do that. However caliper offset is good only for 996 monoblock and A8 disk on S2. So I would say it needs to be verified if it fits S2 with RS2 bracket. With SEAT bracket, which has some room for machining - it's more likelly.

I'm not sure about VW Phaeton calipers. I would say, that Phaeton ones are different (bigger).

Brembo S12 caliper (that's unofficial name for it), which you are selling here is quite strange and rare beast. Only audi S8 and A8 armoured were using those calipers. I would say, that they are rebadged brembo GT calipers (which is good). I call them porsche big reds with different pad clips.

So in summary - it's good choice for those, who need to make caliper carrier anyway. However being bolt on with 345mm disk on other car than S8 - needs to be verified.

                      I've uploaded pics to here

click on the pics for the large versions.

Just to clarify, these have never been on an S2. They may be of benefit to an S2 owner wishing to fit larger brakes. The main advantage being that they'll bolt straight on to an RS2 / Seat bracket.

What size of disc they'll require when fitted to an S2, I have no idea.

Audi part numbers are 4D0 615 107 D and 4D0 615 108 D and is option PR-1ZL. Same option available on the Phaeton with 17" wheels

So I wasn't right then about Phaeton. BTW, I was also not right about rebadging (last time I saw those, they were on the car, so it was complicated to look how they look from behind. Just compared photos, and realized, that these are optimized for larger diameter disk (caliper sits further radially). Which is good for those who urge for larger diameter disks. Someone needs to try them on S2, RS2 carrier, and S8 + Phaeton disk . Maybe it will fit ?
