    What price to pay

Hi folks, i'm looking for some advice on how much to pay for a 1995 N REG Coupe S2. Car has approx 75000 miles , indigo blue in colour , heated leather , elec rear windows , air con , walnut trim etc, full dealer history and two owners from new. The chap who is selling the car is asking for £8000ish and will selling in the next month or two. Reason for the delay in selling is what do you buy next. As this is my first step into an Audi car your advice is appreciated.

With that mileage it's a bargain, it should be nearer the £9k mark. If it's got loads of reciepts, MoT's etc..... you'll be onto a winner.

The car has a fully stamped main Audi dealer service book and has been serviced there for the past 9 years. All reciepts are avaiable ...

Sound like a bargain, I paid £8000 for a 130k miles 1993 car with 2 owners and FSH. It is the BEST thing I have ever bought. Do the required checks like HPI and if it seems like a genuine car being sold by a genuine guy then it probably is. Sounds like good value to me.

BUT. a word of caution, these cars ARE expensive to run if you want to keep it its best and look after it. Bargain on spending between £1000 - £2000 maintaining it. Don't worry the smile will be worth it

That said they are bomb proof and will do 200k miles easily.

            Go for it!

            Cheers,

            Steve.

Thanks guys , the seller has my phone no and will ring once he has found an alternative car that he is happy with. Seems to be a few various priced S2's in the Autotrader today. Was looking at the Green 350 BHP one and also the 93 silvery grey one. Anyone in this forum ?.

Thing is with these is that they are worth what someone is prepared to pay. These are only known to people that want an S2. You don't just fall on the idea. It's a good price if it is a good car.
