Damn true - I hate fitting them sometimes - fiddly we things but they work just fine.

best way I have found to fit these are by making a chassis to fit sensor in then fit whole unit in ecu.

I just solder three wires to the sensor, then run them through the holes and secure the sensor firmly with a self-fastening clip.
The only fiddly bit is soldering the wires to the sensor.

The easiest solution would be to do the same hoffer does, but using a small pcb designed just for that purpose.

I already designed a little PCB to carry them and be clipped neatly to the existing carrier - never got round to making them - the chap that offered to get them fabricated basically disappeared. I might look into it again - all the hard work is done on EAGLE.

Is it possible to buy veroboard with surface mount hole/track spacing.I have looked online and have seen references to it but nobody actually selling it.Maybe it would be a good idea to design a small PC board specifically for the application.

Ok,Ive just seen the post above.Good idea!

Okay, all initial people have paid and their sensors are on the way (last one going out tomorrow).

I still have quite a lot of these left, as I had to order a large batch.
                    Any takers?

The two sensors I ordered already arrived, although I still have to go to the post office to pick up mine.
                              Great service prj.
                              Cheers!

Yeah, all the sensors are sent with registered airmail and have to be signed for...
