AAN I5 Engine, 6 speed quattro box and V8 Diff :)

I've moved to the Cayman islands, so I'm selling my collection of yummy mechanical goods, based between Newbury and Swindon.

    God this hurts.........

OK, I bought the engine and 6 speed quattro box from Corey at Quattronics.
The engine and gearbox are from an S6. The engine has done just over 121k miles, which was serviced regularly by quattronics until the airbags were set off in a very minor frontal (no damage to engine etc).

It is missing a couple of sensors and hoses but by and large it is complete. Injectors are not there, but Turbo and intake etc are

I have the loom and ECU tucked away somewhere, which is also included.

The diff is the fabled V8 rear - I don't think I need to say much more about that. It came off a friend's V8, which he broke for the engine for a project car of his own. Needless to say, the car was running perfectly when it was taken off the road.

I have an engine crane already attached to the engine and box, so it shouldn't be too hard to get into a van.

Perfect setup for a big power project car - I was going to go for 1000bhp/tonne. Reckon you can do better?

    £1800 for the lot.

There, I've done it. Really don't want to sell, as it took me a long time to find the good stuff, but needs must, I suppose! All the better for you!

    I'd say it's a bit overpriced as engines go for about 600 boxes 400 and I sold a v8 rear diff for 150 ,
the other thing is you mentioned the Magic words ( Corey + Quattronics ) which will put anyone off.
. Also minor front enders don't set the air bag off !

So...... I take it your not interested in buying then?

          ha ha ha!

Well, I'm asking what I paid. Seen a few engines and gearboxes go for £1500, so it seems fair to me. I paid about £300 for the diff = £1800
I guess if you can get them for £1000, you're a luckier man than I!
I saw the car the engine came out of and the front end didn't look too bad, so I don't know what to say about that. I'm afraid I'm not an airbag deployment expert!
As for it being dodgy, all I can say is that everything looked kocher and the stories matched up. If I thought it was stolen, I wouldn't have bought it.

So maybe you can humour me and accept that, perhaps, this was actually a legal sale
