    news on stainless exhaust

hi and sorry for the delay gents. firstly there seems to, to be some confusion. the exhaust is in three sections. 1-from the down pipe,(not the turbo,as the original down pipe is the best to have on for gas flow and also the cost involved wouldnt make it feasable) replacing both cats. 2-centre section box. 3-back box with two 3" oval pipes. so it is the complete system, bar the downpipe.

this is true if you are running big bhp.but for a nice mild effective increase,it is perfectly fine.Unless you are a maniac who is running high boost, and a turbo the size of J-lo"s ****, making your car fast once it is wound up,by which time any properly tuned car will be far far away, anyway what would i know, isnt it about torque,i mean that is the thing that makes your car pull isnt it? or do you go for big bhp all top end buzz and hope that you dont run out of road? or nice bhp and monster torque so you can pull the teeth out of a horse, your worship i rest my typing finger.anyway are you buying or bitching.

webby, I'm not buying anything, what I forgot to mention is that this forum is not a commercial forum where everyone starts selling stuff just for the fook of making money. I could do it too, especially since I'm running a true business, but I'm not doing it. And please don't start telling me you're not making any money if you're doing exhaust systems and sell them...

            Just a thought,

Webby What is the point of having a huge system if it is restricted by the 60mm downpipe?
It will behave like a 60mm system.

You want it to be wide so the turbo works better and lag goes down.
If there is any section restricting the flow the rest of the system is useless.

Anyway Minheas work improves both HP, Torque goes up, with more low down grunt and less fuel comsumption for a 360-370 hp RS2 turbo, so respect to him

Standard S2 downpipe wont do much over 320 Hp, that is the main reason porsche change it for the RS2.

i am not selling systems, just my own one! i am not telling any of you ladies your buisness either, just as i wouldnt expect you to,tell me how to build houses.all i was saying that for a mild tweak in hp i/e,20-35 then it is fine. obviously the rs2 is a more poweful car and so,the stock system is not upto the job. AMD do a chip upgrade to 270bhp and the standard down pipe is fine. i am not saying that by putting my old system on is going to give you rs2 power, just a nice mild upgrade, but as you point out that it wont do much over320hp, thats still good for a stock pipe, anyway lets not get all shirty over this, and one more thing i actually own a v7 sti scooby running 380bhp and all pro-work not cheap stick on bits. but here i am enjoying a bit of banter, with people who love their cars,oh yes i used to own an s2, and have a love of them still, but as you can imagine the exhaust wouldnt fit my scooby,so it has to go,also if you are not offended i would like to continue browsing on the site, and chatting with all you out there, lighten up man, things could be worse, you could wake up to a tractor sticking out of the side of your beloved s2 like i did

I am planning a rolling road shootout for novemeber time, ive had a very busy couple of months so ive not had much time to arrange anything for it yet but details will follow shortly.

Other meets are at Castle Coombe on the 18th for the Audi day, Not sure if there is another northwest meet planned?

                            Webby,

This is your quote: "1-from the down pipe,(not the turbo,as the original down pipe is the best to have on for gas flow and also the cost involved wouldnt make it feasable) "

As I pointed out the original downpipe is not the best one for gas flow and the cost involve is not that huge. Marco does some impresive ones for around 200 Euros

If you like to insult everybody that doesn't share your opinion you don't deserve me wasting time with you.

If you had quoted, De-cat system for the standard S2 using original downpipe for mild tuning applications, nobody would have said anything about it.

So, I think you must give some people here some apologies.

PS [History note] Before Spain was even Spain, around the 14th century Cataluña even depended on the Castilian Kingdom, they have nerver in History be and idepended State or Country, this is just a political movement of the 20th Century, just check you books.

no intention of any kind of insult was ment, just a bit of harmless banter,i/e barca-madrid i/e football,i have no intention of insulting anybody at any time,i dont think you understood my original post.it was not to have a dig at any suppliers,so where you got that from is mind boggles. also being in madrid you wouldnt understand the catalan state, which is also the most wealthy area, is that why it wont be granted its independence??? also i should know about this as my grandmother is catalan, but if you like i can mail you her number and she will put you right my spanish friend, please dont be as sensitive as to take this as an insult as well. anyway this is all a bit of harmless banter and interesting for, those viewing,a bit like big brother.also about audi being the daddy of all things 4x4,well i love s2 and quats, but i would have to disagree.try a drive in a sorted scooby or an evo or a skyline allawsome machines in there own right, as is the rs2,s2,quat. but i think audi has gone a bit soft of late and are behind in the stakes. also what is it with the dead steering? i tried an s4 avant before the scoob and it was fine in a straight but whooooo no feel in the twisty stuff, and that is a bit unnerving. maybe they forgot what its about. anyhoooow lets stay friends i apologise if anyone, has been hurt in the making of this post.lol webby :
