Yep me again, Just found this on Eb*y. Never seen a pearl white avant and whats the deal with the steering wheel? I thought the airbag model had a round(ish) 3 spoke like the TT style.

I have seen a pearlescent white avant before here in Taunton but that steering wheel certainly doesnt look right, it should have the same 3 spoke sport wheel that I have in my 96 A4 T Sport.

i think the wheel is out of a std coupe....

I've seen that steering wheel on other S2s. Its just an earlier version. The 3 spoke came in later on.

So does this sound like,
-Bumped front
-airbag deployed
-can't find S2 steering wheel airbag (and don't want to pay steeler price)
-replace with standard coupe steering wheel/airbag

I have been looking for a S2 Avant for a couple of weeks non and had come across this on e-bay. Looks like a nice motor but what do you think it is worth??

That looks like the same car that was on Ebay a few weeks back being sold by a trader. Cant be many green S2 avants with Blue/Black RS2 seats!

thanks for the warning. I called the guy and he said he had had it for about 6-7 months. I had my douts about this car anyway. best stay clear i thinks.

To be honest if you're going to buy one, this forum is a good place to start. There are a lot of nice cars at the right money owned by enthusiasts,a big plus.

I have been looking for a S2 for only a week now. I was looking for a T5 R but they are rare.
I do like the white one on e-bay, I e-mailed the guy and he has a reserve of 6k and might do a deal???
I had a run in a 280 bhp S2 at the weekend Paul from Banff ( Aberdeenshire ) has one for sale but I would like one with leather. Nice car and the least said about my parking on a hill outside his house and a couple of minutes later it rolling past the window and hitting a wall the better. got away with only a blown tyre. do not know how.

Nice forum. Hope to have the time to chat if I find a S2.

I wanted one with leather and air con but went for the best car in the end. I was low mileage, was dead right and had loads of history. No leather or aircon though. Leather is easy to retrofit and loads of cars have aircon that doesn't work. A well sorted S2 is a joy to have so unless you have a real leather fetish I wouldn't worry too much about it

My mate has just bought an 850R but I reckon my S2 Avant is quicker
