Can you provide me with some pictures. Where does the earth strap attach to? Will I need to have a new point installed? The power runs to the fuse panel or the engine bay?

it runs to both, when we removed the cables there was one that goes to the starter motor in the engine bay and another that goes to the fuse box. earth strap attaches to the box
