    Air Con Parts wanted

I've just taken the aircon pipe leading from the engine bay to the dryer in the offside wheel arch. In taking it off some of the thread in the dryer has got damaged so its looking like i may need a new one of them also. Has anyone got either of these parts kicking about before I go down the Audi route. The pipe is 8A2 260 740AD I'm not sure of the dryer part number so if anyone knows that one it would be appreciated also.

dryer is cheap from eurocarparts, but that pipe, i also bought from audi as its developed a hole.

when it comes out, if the threads are salvaged and there may be a chance to weld that hose, i may be able to sell it to you. This will be late august/early sept though..

Cheers for that I'll try eurocarparts on monday, out of interest how much was the pipe from Audi? They were closed yesterday by the time I got it off I just presumed it would be expensive.

good luck getting the pipe from audi....for the 3b it was NLA as i painfully found out a year back I think in some ways it would be easier to get a specialist AC place to fab one up - probably cost about a 1/3 of the RRP from VAG.

            true that,
the rs2 one was available fairly quickly though. But these hoses are easily made. At the time i needed mine in a hurry.

I'm in a similar position with mine but the other pipe - the one that runs from the condenser to the compressor. I need to get a new pipe/fittings made up but my condenser seems to have a weird thread size - M22 x 1.75 and I can't seem to get a fitting for it?

Any help appreciated. Demon Tweeks couldn't help and they have a vast catalogue of parts.
