    Spec

    Internal Sensors
2 internal accelerometers Semiconductor dual axis accelerometer with a maximum range of +/-2g and a resolution of 1/256th of a g. Output transferred to processor in digital format guaranteeing exceptionally accurate noise free measurements. Software correction for vehicle roll and pitch..

    External Inputs
2 external analogue voltage channels Both channels are 8 bit resolution (256 level) with a software selectable maximum input of either 5v or 12v, giving a corresponding resolution of 20mV or 47mV respectively. Digital filter ensures excellent low noise response. Input impedance 10k Ohms.
digital channel Schmitt trigger input with software set thresholds. Upper and lower thresholds can be set between 0 to 12v with a resolution slightly less than 8 bit. Input impedance 10k ohm.
engine speed input Custom designed input circuit designed to pickup pulses from the HT (recommended) or low voltage side of the ignition system. Maximum input frequency of 200Hz, which on a 4 cylinder engine gives a maximum possible RPM of 24000rpm, on an 8 cylinder engine 12000rpm.
wheel speed input Optional wheel speed input using reed switch and magnet attached to the wheel. Maximum input rate of 200Hz. For a wheel with a rolling circumference of 2m, this gives a maximum speed of 1440km/h.
Trigger for external triggering Optional external push switch to start logging. This is normally used to start and stop logging from a steering wheel mounted button.

    Data Transfer to PC
Transfer from the DL90 to the PC using RS232 at 115200 baud, either in a continuous stream (fast mode) or in 8 byte error checked packets (slower mode which is sometimes required for laptops and slower desktops). In fast mode a 20 minute race takes 55 seconds to download.

    Power Supply
7v-18v power connection, either supplied from the car battery, or via a mains adapter (supplied). Maximum current required approximately 200mA including GPS reciever.

    Sample Rate
Fixed 100 times a second for all channels.

    Internal Memory
32 Mbit internal flash memory, enough for a total of 87 minutes of storage. Up to 256 individual runs can be stored at any one time. Flash memory retains it contents for years, even without power.

    Connectors
GPS serial 9 way male d-type
PC serial 9 way male d-type
    Power 2.5 mm short
Aux inputs AMP screw type connector block type

    Physical Specification
Mounting Either using the supplied aluminum brackets or alternatively blu tac or Velcro for temporary installations work well.
Indicators 3 high brightness LEDS to indicate power, sampling/RPM present, and GPS present/locked
Buttons Power on/off, sample stop/start, GPS bypass mode and memory erase modes available by holding down power button.
Weight and Dimensions 175g, outside maximum dimensions with no connectors plugged in 110mm x 75mm x 30mm.
Construction Black anodized aluminum extrusion, end caps made from 5 layer carbon fibre sheet, CNC cut and screen printed.
    £175 ono
